The hw-reverse-osmosis-system is a natural and environmentally compatible process for physically removing dissolved salts and contaminants from the water. In this process, the water from the tap is forced through a semi-permeable membrane by the water pressure in the pipes (2 to 6 bar). Only ultra-pure water can pass the membrane during this process; salts, contaminants and other impurities are effectively held back by the membrane and drained off with the residual water, or concentrate.
The purified water obtained in this manner, known as permeate, contains only minimal, hardly detectable traces of harmful impurities. The majority of dissolved particles in the tap water cannot pass through the membrane.
Before delivery, all hw-reverse-osmosis-systems are put through a 24-hour functional test, in order to test and document the maximum performance of the individual system.
