hw-carbonate-increasers were developed to compensate for the low mineral content in ultra-pure water (permeate) of reverse-osmosis-systems by enriching it with carbonates, calcium and magnesium.

hw-carbonate-increasers contain a special medium cartridge, which is filled with a natural carbonate granulate. When ultra-pure water from reverse-osmosis-systems flow through this granulate, the carbonate hardness increases from 0 degrees to 3-6 degrees.

Consequently, hw-carbonate-increasers are extremely well-suited for increasing the carbonate hardness of ultra-pure water from reverse-osmosis-systems.

hw-carbonate-increasers are installed following the reverse-osmosis-system, at the ultra-pure water outlet.
